Wanda Sykes received an Emmy for her award winning work on the HBO series "The Chris Rock Show" and later joined the series.  In 1998 she was also featured in the comedy "Tomorrow Night" a screened comedy by Louis CK.

She was also featured in "Nutty Professor II: The Klumps" in 2000.  She later was featured in "Heaven Can Wait", "Down to Earth" and "Pootie Tang", all of which were collaborations with Chris Rock.

Sykes took a stab at a solo series "Wanda at Large" an ABC sitcom, but the ratings did not prove successful.  She has a recurring role as on HBO's sitcom "Curb Your Enthusiasm", "The Drew Carey Show", "Chapelle's Show".  She also was the voice of  Gladys Murphy, a puppet on the prank call series "Crank Yankers".

Her best role to date was when she appeared on the big screen as Ruby in "Monster-In-Law" in 2005, in which she stole scenes from Jennifer Lopez and Jane Fonda.
