Mike Binder began his career as a stand-up comedian. This led to his own HBO One Night Stand special, HBO's Detroit Comedy Jam.  He is also well known for the HBO comedy series "The Mind of the Married Man" which he co-wrote, co-directed and acted in as the main character. 

He is also known to be a great screenwriter.  Some of his  films written and directed by him are "The Upside of Anger," "Man About Town" and "Reign Over Me."
