He is known for his broad, physical comedy and dead-on impersonations and became a star in the early 80's.

Martin Short is most famous for his characters on Saturday Night Live. His early movie roles included Three Amigos, Innerspace and Clifford, but Short's  television work never seemed to translate on to the big screen.

During the '90s he returned to television in short-lived series and guest appearances.  In 1999, Short had his own talk show where he occassionally appeared in heavy makeup as Jiminy Glick, a Hollywood reporter.
