Mark Russell is an American comedian, singer, and pianist.
He is best known for his appearances on the American public broadcasting network, PBS, for the past 25 years. He is known for playing the piano and singing his satirical songs.
You may have seen some of his comedic work when a parody of him was used in an episode of "The Simpsons." He has also appeared on an episode of Saturday Night Live.
In addition to writing all his own material, Russell performs regularly around the country on college campuses as well as in his favorite place, public theatres. When not appearing on PBS or on college campuses, he also he writes a nationally syndicated column, has recorded numerous CDs, authored a book and appears frequently as a guest commentator on news programs. He is also a former marine.
