He is a well known comedy magician who has performed on TV specials, often as a co-host.

He has his own family-friendly show, The Mac King Comedy Magic Show, at the Harrah's Las Vegas in the Clint Holmes Theater. The comedy used in his shows tend to be absurd or otherwise more wild than witty.

NBC began its The World's Greatest Magic specials and Mac King taught the audience a minor effect before and after each commercial, referred to as the Mac King School of Magic. He is the only Magician to be in all five of the World's Greatest Magic specials.
