Kenan Thompson has made a quick ascent in show business.

After landing a role in the sequel "D2: The Mighty Ducks", he landed a role on Nickelodeon's sketch comedy show "All That". Thompson soon became one of the stand out members of the comedy troupe, and was in another Nickelodeon series  titled "Kenan & Kel".

In addition to  "D2: The Mighty Ducks", Thompson was also seen in "D3: The Mighty Ducks", "Heavyweights", and  "Good Burger", as well as small roles in comedies "Big Fat Liar", "Master of Disguise", "My Boss' Daughter"  and "Love Don't Cost a Thing".

Thompson was also added to the returning cast of "Barbershop 2: Back in Business". Later that year, Thompson became the title character in "Fat Albert".
