Jim Gossett is an American stand up comedian.

He is best known for his performance that includes up-to-the-minute material.  While other comedians recycle the same jokes, Jim takes much of his inspiration from the events of the day, adds his twist of humor to it, and delivers a different performance every time.  Most of his work can be heard in the monologues of "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "The Late Show with David Letterman." 

Throughout his career, he has opened for such celebrities as Barbara Mandrell, Jay Leno, Crystal Gayle, Louise Mandrell, and Frankie Valli. He also appears regularly in comedy clubs and college campuses across the country. 

When not performing, he can be heard on a variety of national and regional commercials for Pizza Hut, Ford Trucks, McDonald's, GMC, Kroger, and Wendy's. He's also a featured announcer on the Cartoon Network and Country Music Television, and provides humorous commentary on several national radio talk shows.
