Jim Barber is an American comedian.
He has been the resident comedian at the Osmond Family Theater in Branson, Missouri since March 2000 where he shares the stage with The Osmonds and Tony Orlando. He also continues to be a featured performer in Las Vegas, Reno and Atlantic City as well as conventions, corporate and industrial shows and fairs.
Jim is widely recognized as one of the world's top ventriloquists and has shared his "clean style comedy" in 15 foreign countries as well as every state in the USA. He has won numerous awards including Campus Comedy Entertainer of the Year by the National Association of Campus Activities as well as earning the Association's nomination for Campus Entertainer of the Year five years in a row. He has also won the coveted award of Ventriloquist of the Year at the International Ventriloquist Convention and Showtime named him the "Funniest Person in Tennessee.
His television credits include: National Co-host of the Jerry Lewis "Stars Across America" Labor Day Telethon for Muscular Dystrophy, TNN's "Prime Time Country," "The Statler Brother's Show," "Music City Tonight with Crook & Chase," and A&E's "Caroline's Comedy Hour."
