Jeff Dunham's amazing comedic skill, impeccable technique, and slight of hand make him a master of his craft.
Whether he is breathing life into the bitter elderly man named Walter, or a purple human-like creature from the Micronesian islands named Peanut, or even a self-effacing, talking jalapeno-on-a-stick named Jose, Jeff Dunham is straight man to some of the hilarious side-kicks in his business. Dunham is the only 2-time winner of the prestigious 'Ventriloquist of the Year' award, as well as being nominated twice for 'Comedian of the Year' by the TNN Music City News Country Awards.
He was voted one of the 'Top 10 Showroom Entertainers' in Las Vegas, and was voted 'Comedian of the Year' by the Las Vegas Review. In 1998, he was named Funniest Male Stand-Up Comic at the American Comedy Awards. In the summer of 2001, the National Ventriloquist Convention gave Dunham the first-ever Outstanding Service Award for his contributions to the art of ventriloquism.
His most significant seal of approval will always be when Johnny Carson invited him to come sit on the couch during his very first "Tonight Show" appearance, an honor Dunham shares with only four other comedians during Carson's 30-year tenure. Jeff currently retains the distinction of performing on the 'Tonight Show' more than any other ventriloquist in history, both with Johnny Carson and Jay Leno.
Jeff's Characters include; Peanut, Walter, as well as Jos? Jalape?o. Recently joining the crew are Sweet Daddy Dee, a new entertainment industry manager of the bunch, wearing more "ice" than Snoop Dogg, as well as keeping Jeff confused with his street-savvy and hip-hop like talk. On the opposite of the spectrum is Bubba J, who is buck-toothed and makes NASCAR his second religion.
Jeff has also made appearances on HBO, Showtime, Ellen, Entertainment Tonight, Good Morning America and TNN's "Hot Country Nights" as well as Comedy Central. With an average of 250 shows a year in a 40 week time span, he is a truly unique force in the comedy world.
