Upon graduation, Greg Schwem decided to make his parents happy and actually use his degree, so he moved to Florida and began writing for The Palm Beach Post. Later he moved to WPTV, where he earned two UPi awards for outstanding journalism. But five years of reporting on murders, Kennedy family hijinks, and spring break bikini contests took their toll.
In 1989, Schwem returned to Illinois and began working the comedy club scene. When business was slow, he wrote and preformed trade show presentations for Fortune 500 companies. Walking the trade show floors, listening in on business conversations, and observing new trends in the marketplace helped Schwem develop his act, "Comedy With a Byte."
Today, Greg entertains business groups coast to coast with hilarious observations about technology and the corporate world. His clients include Hewlett-Packard, Ameritech, McDonald's, Amway and Abbott Labs. He also is a sought-after corporate emcee and has shared the concert stage with the likes of Celine Dion, Huey Lewis, Alabama, Jay Leno, and LeAnn Rimes.
