As the very first young, female comic, Elayne Boosler was an instant success with audiences and still is today.
Boosler has written for and appeared on a number of television shows. Some of her writing credits include: The Rodney Dangerfield special, "It Aint Easy Being Me", "Disney Goes to the Oscars", "Soundstage; Andy Kaufman", "The Shape of Things", "99 Ways", "Prime Times". She has also written articles for Esquire, George magazine, Men's Health, USA Today, and the New York Times.
Boolser's T.V. appearances include: Bill Maher's Politically Incorrect, and The Today Show on NBC, and the Donny and Marie show. In addition, Elayne has done several cable specials: "Party of One", "Broadway Baby", "Top Tomata", and "Live Nude Girls".
Elayne is also extremely pro active in politics and animal rights. Elayne also performs fundraisers for many groups such as: Comic Relief, The United Negro College Fund, The MDA Telethon, Planned Parenthood, Voters for Choice and various educational organizations and schools.
