Adele Givens had got her big break in 1990 when she made her professional stand-up debut at the Regal Theater in Chicago. Since then, she has truly made her mark in the industry and she has been dubbed "The Queen of Comedy".
She has appeared on "Russell Simmons' Def Comedy Jam", "The All-Stars of Def Comedy Jam", "The Bad Girls of Def Comedy Jam" and "The Oprah Winfrey Show".
Adele made her acting debut, guest-starring in the sitcom "Martin". She also had guest appearances on "Moesha", "The Steve Harvey Show", "The Parkers", "The Tracy Ullman Show" and "The Hughley's".
HBO offered Adele her own HBO half-hour comedy special and television pilot "The Adele Show". She also wowed audiences everywhere on the recent and very successful "Queens of Comedy" tour.
Her latest project is a spoken word artistry derived poetry series giving new meaning to the term "poetry in motion".
