Tom McCaffrey was born and raised in Manhattan. At age 11 he performed on the Academy Awards. He later attended Manhattan's prestigious Laguardia Perfroming Arts High School. He was hilarious his whole life and people constantly harassed him to do standup comedy.
It got really annoying and while he was a sophomore at Southern Methodist University in Dallas Texas he finally did standup after being constantly encouraged by one of his acting professors. He took the mic and he did okay. He didn't like it much and he hung up the mic for 6 years. For those 6 years he focused more on drinking and getting laid.
In 1999 he started doing standup again in Los Angeles. He was amazing. Clearly destined to be the greatest comedian that ever lived he decided to move back to his hometown of NYC which he did in 2002. He quickly blew everyone's mind in the comedy world. In 2003 he won the New York semifinals in Comedy Central's nationwide standup competition named "Laugh Riots". He flew in an airplane to Los Angeles and placed third runner up in the finals. It was bullshit because he clearly should have won second runner up.
He then appeared on Comedy Central's Premium Blend which is the greatest show in the history of television. He then appeared on Comedy Central's Shorties Watching Shorties which was cancelled because it was too funny. In 2004 he was selected as one of Comedy Central's Fresh Faces of Comedy which entailed him appearing in three national tv commercial spots that changed the face of comedy. In 2005 he hosted Comedy Central's Secret Stash Movie for three weeks. It was the greatest thing that has ever been filmed.
Later that year he appeared on Comedy Central Records' "Invite Them Up CD" alongside many other brilliant comedians. This CD is legendary and the best thing in the world. If you play Tom's track backwards you can hear Jesus laughing. He then filmed an episode of VH1's All Access series called "Celebrity Bad Habits" where he gave his opinions on extremely relevant world events such as John Travolta picking his nose and Hilary Swank making faces while eating lunch. He was almost nominated for an Oscar for his work on this show.
He has written for "The Onion" and he was set to film a role in an indie film but his part was cut at the last minute so there really is no reason to mention it here. But it would have been really cool to have been in the final cut of the movie so it's almost a valid credit. Basically he is taking the world by storm.
He recently was written up in "The Onion" who called him "consistently funny." He is also the most gorgeous man in the world. Interesting trivia about him is that he hates phonies and he loves to do it with hot chicks.
