Lisa Gopman was born in Cincinnati Ohio to two wacky parents who met in their abnormal psychology class. At the age of nine she was given the role of Snoopy in the school play and told to "ham it up." Since hearing those words, Lisa has never looked back. At the age of 18, she left Cincinnati and attended the USC School of Theater. While attending class, Lisa wrote a column for a national college magazine called Sketchy Girl which detailed her drunken, scandalous, college dating life. She soon took this material to the standup comedy stage. Lisa has been perfoming all over Los Angeles and in 2003 was proud to be crowned the grand prize winner of Comedy Central's Laugh Riots nationwide standup competition. Lisa was so excited to then appear on Premium Blend and to be a new face at the Montreal Comedy Festival. She currently performs monthly with a group called Standup Salad, is a regular at the Improv, and is currently participating in a competition to open up for Greg Giraldo in Jamaica.
