Elizabeth Beckwith (who writer John Rodgers described as 'the cute girl everybody's got a crush on in those cool indie films') was born and raised in the glitter gluch (Las Vegas, NV). It was there, in sin city, that she first stepped foot on the stage to perform stand-up comedy at the tender age of sixteen. A regular performer at the variety of Vegas bars and cafes, the audiences were often packed with many of her high school class mates who were eager to see for themselves what this novelty or (freak show?) was all about. By seventeen, the demanding world of a high school comic began to take it's toll and Beckwith decided to take a break for a while. She did not return to stand-up until her junior year of college at Loyola Marymount University. In the years in between Elizabeth honed her acting skills, performing in numerous theatrical products and short films.

In May of 1998, she got her first big break when she was chosen as one of the new faces for the Just For Laughs Montreal International Comedy Festival. In August 1998 she was one of the seven comics featured in a Time Magazine article entitled, Funny: The Next Generation. TIME writer Joel Stein wrote that Elizabeth seems like Jenna Elfman if Jenna Elfman were funny. (No disrespect to Jenna Elfman or to the concept of funny.) That fall she starred in the independent feature film, Time To Get Goin' in which she played Eureka, an alternative magician. Soon after she was cast in the ABC pilot, The Guide with Christine Taylor and Michel Vartan. In the spring of '99 she preformed at the Chicago Comedy Festival. Recently, Beckwith appeared in the Jerry Bruckheimer film, Coyote Ugly, and she can soon be seen in the Reese Witherspoon film, Legally Blonde 2.

You can catch Elizabeth's act at a variety of comedy clubs, cafes, bars and countless other venues throughout Los Angles, and sometimes other cities too! Currently she lives in L.A. with her husband, Pat.
