Dean Edwards career began over a decade ago in a college talent show.
Always the multi-tasker, Dean divided his college career between classes, and a 6 year term in the U.S. Army reserves. Although his fellow soldier's loved his impression of their drill sergeant, Dean spent many an afternoon doing push-ups for his comedic talent.
His comedic approach is reminiscent of Will Smith because of his mainstream appeal to all audiences.
Ironically, his first big break was on Russel Simmons' Def Comedy Jam, a show reknowned for it's blue humor. Subsequently, he was a featured comedian on Showtime at the Apollo a few years later. Dean followed his t.v. appearances with some commercial work and even worked with Spike Lee on the Original Kings of Comedy feature film.
After 2 seasons on Saturday Night Live, Dean has already made his mark with such memorable impressions as Michael Jackson and Denzel Washington and original characters such as "Man in elevator" and "Cop#2".
